I'm probably breaking almost all of the forum's rules by setting up a thread with no drawing in it (maybe we can call this text art?), but I wanted to get this set up to set the stage, and to stake out my corner for when the drawings do come.
Question: Why is this thread "Banana"?
Answer: Because I have to split it. I'm actually taking some classes right now (with the goal of becoming a software engineer) and I actually really really need to focus on those classes this month. Meaning I need to be really disciplined with how I split my mental focus/time if I'm to participate in Feb as well. This means, unfortunately, I have to limit myself to only posting drawings on half the days or so this year. I know, it's crappy of me.
That said, I'm actually quite pumped to see everybody's work again!

This year, my "theme" is still a bit up in the air, but basically... since the other DDF is running on Facebook, I posted on Facebook asking for people to give me "random words" to draw. So far, this is the list:

It took me a while to figure out what to do with all those words (Draw a comic for each word? Draw separate drawings for each word? Draw caricatures of the people who suggested each word, while incorporating their word?) but I think the easiest thing that won't look crappy/rushed is if I do a big "Where's Waldo"-style fantasy-land drawing that incorporates all the words. And then I'll just slowly post updates to it as areas get finished. So... that's the plan at the moment.
I'll stop talking now and get back to checking out your guys' stuff. Good luck everybody!
