Always loved this show, and I have the entire series on Dvd.
, ,
tried to do my own twist to these 3. Gerald and Helga were easy to alter but Arnold has that distinct head shape that kind of limits the changes.

Haven't been very focused on my Alphabet today, been working on something else so I will share that instead.
a little explanation on this first though
The last few months I have gotten into tee shirt design after having a few designs selected by Riptapparel. So whenever I get a tee idea in my head I pretty much power everything into that until it's finished or I get to the point where I don't feel like pursuing it anymore. Yesterday's Hey Arnold sketches got this idea in my head.

Dan- Thank you sir!
So today's entry for "I" was supposed to be Indiana Jones and last crusade...found out after I diddled my doodles that the movie was released in '89...my mind was thinking '91 for some reason but I don't care i'm posting it anyway!

So I have essentially gotten to the point where I am departing from my 90s nostalgia theme, at least partially anyway. I will still be doing my alphabet here and there but I want to have a little more freedom to do whatever pops into my head.
So for today I have been itching to do some sketches based on the video I am embedding in here. The guy in this video (Luciano Rosso) is a blast to watch. the video makes for a great drawing exercise. Just watch the video then pause it randomly throughout and draw his facial expression.

Something quick for today,
Jurassic park is still one of my all time favorite films and Goldblum's performance as Malcolm is still one of my favorite characters from the film.

I LOVE your Luciano Rosso studies! I watched that video yesterday. His face is so rubbery! I mean to do what you did sometime this month. He just looks like too much fun to sketch.
Great Ian Malcolm too!!

Snow days are great for being productive...unless I have a tee shirt design on my mind...BUT! at least it requires I get some drawing done.
Today's entry is going to be the WIP for a tee design I started today. Taken from the scene in Toy Story where potato head says "Hey Hamm, look! I'm Picasso" this is my literal interpretation of that scene.

So I am essentially just skipping around on my 90s list based on what I feel into from day to day now.
Today's entry - Olmec from Legends of the hidden temple.
Also, figured I'd share this as well. the finished version of the Potato Head tee design I shared yesterday. Submitted it tonight to Ript as "Mr. Picasso Head"

Not much drawing goin on today apart from working on another new Tee design. This one is a mashup of James and the Giant Peach and Pixar's UP.

cyspixels- thank ya!
Really cutting it close tonight.
Here's a couple of quick ballpoint doodle pages.
,
Happy with some of these but man have this past few days been frustrating. I feel like I've gone back to middle school in terms of my abilities this week. Plus this sketchbook I am using is pretty much the crappiest one I've ever owned. paper quality is garbage and if I erase even just a little it makes the paper extremely weak (which it's already weak to begin with). Never going to buy one like this again....there I am done venting now.

Rikert - thanks!
decided to do a little more mini marvel for today.
Also I gotta share this as well. At the school where I teach the kids are preparing to have their last book fair next. Today was "wish list" day and when I took my classes to see what they could look forward to, take a look what I found.
and yes, I had a copy reserved for myself. Awesome little find.
