Ha! No you don't...she's definitely not the type to shy away from a tussle! However she is so crazy soft and adorable and...and oh man I have such raging cat allergies and I will still bury my face in her fur.

Anyway for some reason when I am tired I tend to draw characters sleeping and looking all cozy. I'm afraid it does not help me in that situation, ever.

Anyway something a little different today: opened up a society 6 page to maybe make something a little extra from all this useless art lying around my place and computer. Cleaned up an old sketchbook scribble and turned it into a full blown thingy. Looks pretty great on practically every t-shirt color too!

DAY 23 - MORTAL COIL

Love how the snake looks like a spring. Brings me in the mind of that level where you play as a snake during Donkey Kong country 2.

idk about the heart in the speech bubble (almost too cutesy for Artemis) but i do love its shape and the etching.
maybe highlight the sweat drops more. make them pop.

(aside: i kinda thought she'd have more bush than that.)

Thanks guys; and Bayless - see, those are good notes! Those bubbles are not very well thought out to start so it's good to see a reaction to the heart thing. I always like seeing it in other adult webcomics but pointing out it doesn't feel right with this certain character makes me re-think it's proper usage. Interesting you'd thought she'd be hairier though, haha. I guess I didn't see her as such by default? Also a trimmer bush is way easier to draw  Maybe they have cheap laser hair removal in the future on space stations so you can just get a style set and not have to worry about it ever again (oh boy...why can't we have that technology now  )

Anyway, just time for a quick sketch again tonight last minute; doing some animal sketching that I might turn into some more print work. So piled up with work . Is there a patron service out there that can guarantee a good monthly income so I can just make art? So tired of making peanuts for exhausting commercial jobs.

Also is naturally a fine time for my cintiq to want to stop behaving and is causing me all sorts of problems in the middle of things. But I am determined to even get a quick sketch in.
